I've decided to share some of my tips and tricks of the trade and I thought it would be best to start with one of the simplest but most important subjects - skincare and skin preparation.
First of all, find a good cleanser which will remove any pollutants and soften the skin.
Next on the list is toner which will refine your pores and, combined with the next step, will create a smooth canvas for your makeup.
Exfoliating is next and don't underestimate its importance. Exfoliating will buff the skin and rejuvenate the cells which will do more for your complexion and appearance than hundreds of dollars worth of products.
A mask should come next which will hydrate, purify and act as a skin booster.
Finish off with moisturising. Find a single moisturiser to hydrate and act as a second skin. It will become one of your best friends.
Eye cream should be applied in the morning and preferably one containing SPF - we are Aussies after all!
On that note, it's essential that you wear a sunscreen by day to complement and preserve the benefits of your skincare regime.
Remember that your skin is constantly evolving depending on what you eat, drink, how often (or how little) you exercise and sleep and generally how you feel. With that it mind, it's important that your choice of moisturiser, beauty regime and makeup evolves accordingly.
The best way to have your skin analysed is with a facial. Adelaide is home to some world class beauty salons , so there's no excuse not to treat yourself - believe me, your skin will thank you!
